Background: In human societies, the link between ethical rules and mandatory regulations in various economic and commercial fields has been demonstrated. Therefore, with the expansion of the use of the Internet for business, the use of ethical standards in the virtual world has also gained importance, and observed ethics and maintained ethical values has become one of the most important phenomena that is considered in most organizations. Therefore, the present study attempted to examine the role of ethical principles of transparency and informed consent in the regulation of e-commerce contracts. Conclusion: In recent years, the emergence of e-commerce and Internet technology has created opportunities for creating advanced and innovative solutions for various business models and e-government; So that at any time and place, access to the digital network and digital services is always there. While e-commerce has witnessed extensive growth in recent years, consumer concerns about fair trade and ethical issues surrounding online shopping have also increased. The World Fair Trade Organization has proposed ten principles that include the ethical principles of transparency and informed consent among these ten principles, and they are also relevant in the field of e-commerce. In the field of e-commerce, transparency is of great importance in issues such as the method of providing goods and services, financial transactions, shipping and delivery of goods, etc., which is considered to be a strength of e-commerce compared to traditional commerce. Also, in e-commerce, the concept of informed consent must be carefully considered because various factors such as transparency of information, hidden facts, and terms of use of platforms may interfere with informed consent of individuals.
